The Cavaliers are trading Mitchell to the Jazz for guard Collin Sexton, rookie wing Ochai Agbaji, forward Lauri Markkanen

and three unprotected first-round picks in 2025, 2027, and 2029, as well as two pick swaps in 2026 and 2028.

According to Rich Paul, CEO of Klutch Sports, Sexton has agreed to a four-year, $72 million sign-and-trade deal to join the Jazz.

Three-time All-Star Mitchell's trade signals the Jazz's full-fledged rebuilding effort after they failed to make the Western Conference finals in recent years with Mitchell and Rudy Gobert on the team.

With the addition of the 25-year-old Mitchell and the 22-year-old All-Star Darius Garland, the Cavaliers will suddenly have a top-line backcourt.

In five NBA seasons, Mitchell had a 23.9 scoring average. In 67 games last year, he averaged 25.9 points and 5.3 assists.

The Cavaliers' 23-year-old Sexton appeared in just 11 games the previous year before having season-ending surgery on his left knee..
