$1.34 billion mega million lottery winner still hasn't claimed their prize.

After 30 days, the $1.34 billion Mega Millions jackpot winner still hasn't claimed their prize, despite a lottery chief pleading with people to check their tickets.

Last month, that ticket was purchased at the Speedy Café Speedway gas station on East Touhy Avenue in Des Plaines. Just to the north of O'Hare International Airport

The $1.34 billion jackpot is reduced to $780.5 million after deductions, and winners have one year from the drawing to claim their prize.

Illinois is not one of the states where the winner must reveal their identity, which puts the newly wealthy in risk.

State lottery officials permit the anonymous release of winnings over $250,000.

After a winning ticket is announced, lottery officials advise the winner to sign the back of the ticket, get legal help, and then schedule a meeting with the Illinois Lottery to collect their award.

The gas station's employees declined to remark on the prize winner, despite the fact that they will receive a bonus of $500,000 for selling the winning ticket.
