Ons Jabeur of Tunisia was defeated by Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina in the Wimbledon final match 3-6, 6-2, 6-2.

It may have been the worst defeat in her career thus far for Jabeur, the No. 2 player in the world, in her first Grand Slam final.

Russia-born On Saturday, Rybakina, the 17th seed and Kazakhstan's representative since 2018, achieved her biggest professional triumph.

After only making six in the first set, Jabeur concluded with 24 unforced mistakes, whereas Rybakina's riskier style resulted in 33 unforced errors but also 29 victories.

With 13 victories in three sets this season, Jabeur leads the women's circuit, but Rybakina was far more dominant in the final set.

Jabeur said “I love this tournament. I feel really sad but in tennis, there is only one winner. I’m trying to inspire people from my country. I hope they are listening,”

Jabeur also said for Rybakina “She deserved this. Hopefully, next time will be mine,” ,
