The popular pop singer and songwriter Taylor Swift got a doctorate degree from New York University.

She was awarded an honorary doctorate in the field of fine arts. and gave the commencement speech at Yankee Stadium.

She remarked, "I'm 90% sure the major reason I'm here is because I have a song called '22.'"

"Let me just say: Welcome to New York, it's been waiting for you," she remarked to her fellow grads, and then added, "So let's just keep dancing like we're... the class of '22."

She stated it's fine to lose perspective from time to time since everyone makes errors. What important, is that you learn from your errors.

Swift's selection as the graduation speaker for NYU was initially revealed in March, and fans of the 11-time Grammy winner were ecstatic.

Some even attempted to purchase graduation tickets from graduating students.

This year, NYU's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music offered a full course on Taylor Swift, taught by Rolling Stone journalist Brittany Spanos
